Welcome to the Coast Centre at Little Bay

We’re a community space in Little Bay where people aged 55 and over come to move, learn, create, and connect.

Every week, there are over 60 different classes and activities to choose from - from yoga and tai chi to painting, languages, music, and drama. Whether you're here once a week or every day, there's always something to look forward to.

Our Centre has been part of the local community since 1992, growing from a grassroots idea into a welcoming place for thousands of older adults each year. Everything we offer is designed with your wellbeing in mind - physical, social, and mental.

Some people come to stretch or stay active, some to learn something new, and others just to meet a few friendly faces. You don’t need to be fit or flexible, experienced or outgoing - just curious and open to giving something a go.

❊ Testimonials

Loved by locals, Trusted by all.

But don’t take our word for it, here are some things people have to say about us.

If there is one thing the Coast Centre makes clear, it is that age is no barrier to having a great time and loving life. What an excellent example you set for the younger generation; …teaching them that age is just a number and you can never be too old to learn a new skill, set a new goal or dream a new dream.

Mayor Lindsay Shurey, Mayor of Randwick City Council

I have been a member for several years now; since my retirement, and I have to say it must be the best and most professionally run Seniors Centre ever. The location is ideal and the dedicated staff do a sterling job maintaining a high standard of services and always in the best interests of the members.

Judith, Coast Centre Member

“There are too many of us struggling to cope with loss, isolation and even just the senior years. I am so grateful for the welcome I received and hope many more in the community will support and benefit from the fun, warmth and friendship the Centre offers."

Eunice, Coast Centre Member

There’s always something happening

With over 25,000 visits last year alone, the Centre is buzzing with life. Pop in for a dance class, spend the afternoon painting, or just enjoy a quiet cuppa after yoga. You choose how involved you want to be.

We’re open to everyone, and we’ve got members between the ages of 50-100. There’s no “right” way to take part. Some members come every day. Others join a class once a month. However it fits into your life, we’re here to welcome you.

You’ll find us open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, with friendly staff, easy parking, and a real sense of belonging.
