Calligraphy

Times: Tuesdays 10 – 12 noon

Teacher:

Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design and execution of lettering with a broad tip instrument, brush, or other writing instruments.

For those who are interested in different forms of art or enjoy lettering, this class may be for you.

Calligraphy is a great way to exercise the mind, as well as the body and hands, as it requires integration of the mind, body, and character.

A study has also shown that calligraphy therapy was effective in enhancing cognitive function, especially for those who have mild cognitive impairment. It is recommended to incorporate calligraphy into a routine if you do have mild cognitive impairment.

It is an easy way to keep the mind sharp!
